This was an experiment and turned out great! This cake would also be good slightly warmed without any topping. I used strawberries, blueberries and raspberries. If you don't like the raspberry seeds, omit the raspberries in the topping.

1 box white cake mix and ingredients on box
1 package frozen mixed berries
1 package dream whip topping
1/2 cup sugar

How To Make carrie's very berry cake

Step 1

Puree berries until you get about 2 cups; mix in sugar. Mix cake mix according to directions, except substitute berries puree for water. Add 1/4 cup of water if cake mixture is too thick. Bake according to box directions.

Step 2

Topping: Prepare Dream Whip according to directions; add berries puree to your liking. Top cake upon serving, so cake doesn't get soggy on top.
