I WAS APPLE PICKING EARLIER... SO IT'S NOW TIME TO GET RID OF SOME APPLES... I FOUND THIS RECIPE THAT I MADE MANY YEARS AGO.... IT WAS GIVEN TO ME BY A CHEFS WIFE THAT COOKED FOR A VFW. MAY BE SERVED WARM TO GUESTS WITH A CUP OF COFFEE.

Ingredients
- 1 - yellow cake mix w/pudding in mix
- 4-6 - macintosh apples, cored and sliced
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 stick butter, sliced in thin pieces
How To Make carols easy apple "kuchen"

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. You'll need a 9 x 13 baking dish, lightly greased.

Step 2Prepare cake mix as per directions BUT omit 1 egg.

Step 3Pour into greased pan.

Step 4Peal , core and slice apples [not too thin].

Step 5Place apples in a row over the cake mix, covering it.

Step 6Mix together the cinnamon and sugaar.

Step 7Sprinkle over the top of the cake.

Step 8Dot with the butter.

Step 9Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 10Serve warm with ice crean or cold with whipped cream. [In todays age I use Cool whip]
