Ingredients
- CRUST
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda & a pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
- FILLING
- 1 package (6oz) semi sweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 jar (12oz) caramel ice cream topping
- 3 tablespoons flour
How To Make carmelitas

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, oats.brown sugar, pinch of salt, baking soda and butter in bowl and blend well enough to form crumbs. Pat down two-thirds crumb mixture into sprayed 9x13 baking pan and bake for 10 minutes.

Step 2Remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Blend caramel topping with the 3 Tbs. of flour, blending well, and spread over chips and pecans. Sprinkle with remaining crumb mixture and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Refrigerate for a couple of hours before cutting into squares
