Ingredients

  • 1 package cake mix, chocolate
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 14 ounces caramels
  • 1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped

How To Make carmel fudge cake

  • Step 1
    Reheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Prepare cake mix as package directs; pour 2 cups batter into greased 13x9-inch baking pan and bake 15 minutes.
  • Step 3
    In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt caramels and margarine.
  • Step 4
    Remove from heat; add condensed milk and mix well.
  • Step 5
    Spread caramel over cake; spread remaining cake batter over caramel and top with nuts.
  • Step 6
    Bake 30 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched.
  • Step 7
    Cool.
