  • 1 3/4 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 3/4 c
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, softened

    flour, all purpose
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 5
    granny smith apples, cut in small cubes of equal size
  • 4 Tbsp
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/2 c
    whipping cream
  • 1/2 c

How to Make Carmel Apple Cake


  1. Mix sugars, melted butter and eggs.
  2. Add remaining dry ingredients. Dough will be thick, resembling a cookie batter.
  3. Peel and chop apples and add to batter, stirring just until mixed.
  4. Spread into a greased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.
  5. Shortly before the cake is done baking add the remaining 4 Tbs butter, sugars and whipping cream to sauce pan on medium heat.Make sure to stir frequently until slightly thick.Becareful not to burn it.
  6. Pour sauce over warm cake slices. Cake is best served warm.
