Ingredients

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • - dash of cloves
  • 4 medium pears (2 cups) or one 16 oz can drained and chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup softened butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

How To Make caramel pear pudding cake

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl stir together flour,sugar, baking powder , cinnamon, salt and cloves. Add milk and beat by hand until smooth.
  • Step 2
    stir in pears and nuts. Turn into ungreased 2 quart casserole.
  • Step 3
    In separate bowl combine brown sugar, butter and boiling water stir to mix. slowly and evenly pour over batter.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. server warm with Ice cream, whipped topping or plain
