Ingredients

1 c
all purpose flour
2/3 c
granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
salt
1/2 c
milk
dash of cloves
4 medium
pears (2 cups) or one 16 oz can drained and chopped
1/2 c
chopped pecans, optional
3/4 c
brown sugar
1/4 c
softened butter or margarine
3/4 c
boiling water

How to Make Caramel pear pudding cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large bowl stir together flour,sugar, baking powder , cinnamon, salt and cloves.
    Add milk and beat by hand until smooth.
  • 2stir in pears and nuts. Turn into ungreased 2 quart casserole.
  • 3In separate bowl combine brown sugar, butter and boiling water stir to mix. slowly and evenly pour over batter.
  • 4Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. server warm with Ice cream, whipped topping or plain
