I got this recipe from a family member at a family reunion.It was so good and moist and had lots of good flavor.I make it all the time and it turns out perfect every time.It is so delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups pears,peeled and diced
  • 2 cups pecans and walnuts ,chopped finely
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make caramel pear cake

  • Step 1
    Cream sugar and eggs.Add oil slowly and beat well.Combine dry ingredients and stir well.Add pears,nuts,and vanilla.Mix well.Pour into greased 9x12 baking pan(batter will be very stiff).Bake at 325 degrees F. for 1 hour or until light brown and

    Topping(make 10 minutes before cake is done) 1-cup brown sugar 1/2-cup butter,melted 1/4-cup milk Cook for 3 minutes.Pour over hot cake in pan.Let sit until cold.Cut and serve.
