Ingredients
- 14 ounces light caramels, remove wrappers
- 1/3 cup evaporated milk
- 1 box german chocolate cake mix
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
How To Make caramel layer chocolate squares

Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk over a low heat. Set aside.

Step 2Combine remaining ingredients except chocolate chips until it holds together. Pat 1/2 of dough into 9 x 13 ungreased pan. Bake for 6 minutes. Remove and pour caramel sauce over the base. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, crumble remaining dough over the caramel and chocolate chips. Return to oven and bake for 15-18 minutes. Refrigerate after cooling slightly so that caramel sets. Cut into slices and serve.
