1Blend sugars, apples, pears and nuts in a large bowl.
Add vanilla, eggs and oil.
Sift flour, salt, soda, cinnamon and allspice together and stir into apple/pear mixture.
Grease and flour a 9x13" baking pan OR 2 loaf pans.
Drizzle caramel ice cream sauce over the top of the unbaked cake.
Bake for 1 hour in a preheated 325 degree oven
After removing from oven and prior to cooling, drizzle an additional portion of the caramel sauce over the hot cakes.
Serve with vanilla ice cream
