Ingredients
- BROWNIES:
- 1/2 stick butter
- 4 ounces chocolate, unsweetened, chopped
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 x large eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- TOPPING:
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee powder, regular or decaffinated
- 1 tablespoon whipping cream
- 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
- 2 tablespoons butter
- FROSTING:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
How To Make cappuccino brownies w/ chocolate frosting

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 8" x 8" x 2" baking dish; set aside.

Step 2BROWNIES: Melt the butter & chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Stir in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until just combined. Stir in extract.

Step 3Stir together flour & baking soda in a small bowl. Add flour mixture to chocolate mixture & stir until combined. Spread batter in prepared pan. Bake 30 minutes.

Step 4TOPPING: Dissolve instant coffee in cream. Beat together confectioners' & butter in a standing mixer with whisk on medium speed. Add coffee/cream mixture & beat until creamy. If necessary, add addtional whipping cream until mixture is of spreading consistency. Spread over warm brownies. Refrigerate 1 hour or until topping is set.

Step 5FROSTING: Combine chocolate, whipping cream & extrac in a small pan. Stir over low heat until chocolate is melted & mixture begins to thicken.

Step 6Carefully spread frosting over brownies. Refrigerate until frosting is set. Cut into bars & enjoy!
