hi guys,i wrote the recipe of my family the secret recipe that we kept for ages. it was my grandmas recipe she tough me that every step should be done even if its hard try to make it and you well achieve a good cake pop my family loves it.

Ingredients

  • - cake mix
  • - chocolate for melting
  • - cake frosting, any flavor
  • - white chocolate ( optional)
  • - white chocolate wafers ( optional)
  • - sprinkles for decoration
  • - food coloring ( optional
  • - lollipop sticks
  • - styrofoam block

How To Make cake pops

  • Step 1
    bake a cake it doesn't matter what flavor as long as you enjoy it
  • Step 2
    allow the cake to cool,after taking the cake out of the oven be sure that the cake is totally cool before transforming it into the cake pops
  • Step 3
    use either your hands or a spoon, take the cooled cake out of the pan and place it into a large bowl.mix to break down the cake into fine crumbs. you can either mix it in a electric mixer or use your hands.make sure that there is no crumbs left
  • Step 4
    choose a flavor of frosting you like.add about half of it into the crumbs.basically what you want is to form a doughy texture.if you need to add more frosting, feel free to do so.make sure it is all mixed and ensure there is no part of the cake crumb mixture without the frosting
  • Step 5
    use a cookie scooper to scoop out little balls. round them out with your hand. this is to get a round clear ball. if u want.
  • Step 6
    put each cake ball onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.then put in the freezer for 10 minutes or so until to firm
  • Step 7
    melt some chocolate in a double boiler.the chocolate that you use to cover strawberries is recommended
  • Step 8
    you can also use crushed up white chocolate wafers if you prefer, as the outer layer
  • Step 9
    dip the lollipop sticks into the cake pops. put them gently but also try to let them hold the cake pops well
  • Step 10
    dip the cake balls in the melted chocolate dip the cake pops gently cause you don't want broken pieces in your chocolate dip
  • Step 11
    set aside to cool so that the chocolate hardens
  • Step 12
    once they have cooled dip then one more time in the chocolate dip
  • Step 13
    add sprinkles,frosting,or toppings if you want
  • Step 14
    use the styrofoam block to stick the cake pops into into it and for display .
  • Step 15
    keep on with the process until you are all finished
  • Step 16
    refrigerate the cake pops this is to keep them firm until serving time
