Did you ever need 3 layers instead of just 2 that a cake mix usually yields? If so, use my extender. Add to any cake mix to make it equal 1.5 times the batter amount. OTHER FLAVORS: I use this extender for all our cakes. Using all flour works just fine in chocolate cakes, in fact, we love the extender in devil’s food cake. I think it makes it taste even better.

- 1 cup cake flour or all purpose
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup water
