Ingredients
- FILLING:
- 1 package 12oz butterscotch chips ( get the good ones)
- 2 packages 3oz each cream cheese, softned
- 2 tablespoons milk
- CAKE:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter, softned
- 2 - eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- CRUMB TOPPING:
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Step 1Melt morsels over hot (not boiling) water (or in the microwave); cool. Combine cream cheese and milk. Stir in morsels; set aside.

Step 2Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and baking powder. Cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Combine eggs, buttermilk and vanilla; stir into flour mixture just to moisten. Spread HALF the batter into a greased 9x13. Spread with morsel mixture. Spoon remaining batter over the top.

Step 3Sprinkle with crumb topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Topping: Combine flour and sugar; cut in butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs. stir in pecans.
