Ingredients

1 1/2 c
boiling water
1 c
quick-cooking oatmeal
1 c
butterscotch chips
3/4 c
sugar
1/2 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c
butter
2
eggs
1 1/2 c
flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
salt
1/2 tsp
cinnamon
1/4 tsp
nutmeg
3/4 c
raisins (optional)
1/2 c
nuts, chopped

Step-By-Step

1Combine boiling water and oats; let stand.
2Melt butterscotch morsels; set aside.
3Combine sugar, brown sugar, and butter, beat well.
4Beat in eggs.
5Blend in oat mixture, melted butterscotch.
6Sift dry ingredients and gradually blend into wet ingredients.
7Stir in raisins and nuts.
8Pour into greased and floured 13 X 9 inch pan.
9Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
10Frost with your favorite chocolate icing.
