Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 3/4 cup raisins (optional)
- 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
How To Make butterscotch cake

Step 1Combine boiling water and oats; let stand.

Step 2Melt butterscotch morsels; set aside.

Step 3Combine sugar, brown sugar, and butter, beat well.

Step 4Beat in eggs.

Step 5Blend in oat mixture, melted butterscotch.

Step 6Sift dry ingredients and gradually blend into wet ingredients.

Step 7Stir in raisins and nuts.

Step 8Pour into greased and floured 13 X 9 inch pan.

Step 9Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
