I have had this recipe for about 30 years, I can't even remember where I got it from. This is my husband and my favorite cake.

Ingredients
- 1 cup crisco
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 - eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup self rising flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter nut flavoring
- FROSTING
- 1-(8) ounce cream cheese, softened
- 1 stick butter
- 1 box confectioners' sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter nut flavoring
- 1 cup chopped nuts
How To Make butternut cake

Step 1Cream sugar, crisco and eggs. Add 1 cup of all purpose flour and beat, add rest of ingredients and beat until well mixed. Pour into 2 or 3 greased and floured cake pans.(Depends on how thick you want the layers) Bake at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool on wire racks 10 minutes in pans the turn onto rack and completely cool.

Step 2Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese, add sugar and flavoring, beat until mixed. Stir in pecans.
