I LOVE THIS RECIPE N I REALLY DONT ENJOY CAKE THAT ISNT CHOCOLATE...BUT THIS ONE SIMPLY DELICIOUS N ALWAYS SEEMS TO DISSAPPEAR :)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup room temp butter
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract (or juice n zest of lemon)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup buttermilk

How To Make buttermilk pound cake

  • Step 1
    GREASE OR SPRAY A BUNDT PAN. MIX FLOUR, BAKING SODA N SALT N SET ASIDE. PREHEAT OVEN TO 325.
  • Step 2
    IN A LARGE BOWL BEAT BUTTER WITH SUGAR. ADD EGGS... ONE AT A TIME MIXING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION. MIX IN LEMON N VANILLA. MIX IN FLOUR MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH BUTTERMILK. POUR BATTER INTO PREPARED BUNDT PAN.
  • Step 3
    BAKE FOR 90 MINUTES...TEST CAKE AFTER AN HOUR...CAKE IS DONE AFTER CAKE PULLS AWAY FROM PAN. B4 REMOVING CAKE LET SIT N COOL IN PAN FOR 10 MINUTES....ENJOY :) CAN SERVE WITH FRESH FRUIT N WHIPPD TOPPN OR POWDERED SUGAR OR A LEMON GLAZE... WHICH EVER WAY MMMMMMMMMM!
