How to Make Buttermilk Pound Cake
- Make certain that butter and eggs are at room temperature.
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda; add alternately with buttermilk and beat well.
- Pour into a well greased and floured tube or bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Sprinkle top with confectioners' sugar.
