  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup butter

How To Make buttermilk pound cake

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour and baking soda; add alternately with the buttermilk and beat well. Stir in vanilla.
  • Step 2
    Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 70 minutes. Cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
