solid vegetable shortening
(about 4 cups) confectioner's sugar
cool milk or cream
How to Make Buttercream icing
1Cream Butter and Shorttening togetherwith an electric mixer.
2Add vanilla and salt>Beat in sugar, 1 cup at a time, bleanding well after addition.
3Scrape sides and bottom of the bowloften with a spatula. Add milk and beat at high speed until light and fluffy.
4keep icing covered with lid or damp cloth and store in refrigerator when not in use.
