I THINK I got this from a copycat for Magnolia Bakery Buttercream, but then modified a tiny bit. Maybe? It's a pretty basic buttercream.

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (not margarine)
- 8 cups confectioner's sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
How To Make buttercream frosting

Step 1Place butter in mixing bowl, add 4 cups of the sugar and then the milk and vanilla, beat until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the remaining sugar, 1 cup at a time, until icing is thick enough to be of good spreading consistency (you may not need all of the sugar).

Step 2Use and store icing at room temperature, as icing will set if chilled. You can store in an airtight container for up to three days.
