this is my recipe for buttercream, its a wonderful flavor and the perfect texture for decorating. it is the greatest for wedding cakes, or any cakes or cupcakes.

Ingredients
- 4 pounds confectioners' sugar
- 2 1/2 cups crisco (white)
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 4 dashes clear butter flavoring
- 1 cup water
- 4 teaspoons vanilla extract ( in my business, i always used almond extract
- 2 tablespoons karo syrup
How To Make buttercream for cake decorators

Step 1BEAT until moist: 2 lbs of powdered sugar, crisco, water, salt karo and almond or vanilla flavoring

Step 2Then add the other 2 lbs of powdered sugar. Beat 10 to 20 minutes (hope you have a kitchenaid) Store airtight. keeps well.

Step 3left over colored icing can be combined with cocoa and 1 egg white (opt), to make a wonderfully flavored chocolate icing, Holds great. try the chocolate frosting with almond its a tasty difference. xoxoxo
