Got this recipe from a lady I used to work with. She would always bring it to the office and it was gone in no time!

Ingredients

CAKE INGREDIENTS

1 box
butter cake mix
1 box
instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 c
cooking oil
4
eggs
1 c
water
1 tsp
rum flavoring

BUTTER RUM SYRUP

1 stick
butter
1 c
sugar
1/3 c
water
1/2 tsp
rum flavoring

How to Make Butter Rum Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1For the cake: Mix all ingredients well and pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50mins or until done.
  • 2For syrup: Put all ingredients except flavoring in small sauce pan. Bring to boil. Cook until butter is just melted and sugar is dissolved. Add flavoring.
  • 3While cake is still in pan pour syrup over it. Let set in pan for 30mins.
