Got this recipe from a lady I used to work with. She would always bring it to the office and it was gone in no time!

Ingredients

  • CAKE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 box butter cake mix
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil
  • 4 - eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon rum flavoring
  • BUTTER RUM SYRUP
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon rum flavoring

How To Make butter rum cake

  • Step 1
    For the cake: Mix all ingredients well and pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50mins or until done.
  • Step 2
    For syrup: Put all ingredients except flavoring in small sauce pan. Bring to boil. Cook until butter is just melted and sugar is dissolved. Add flavoring.
  • Step 3
    While cake is still in pan pour syrup over it. Let set in pan for 30mins.
