Got this recipe from a lady I used to work with. She would always bring it to the office and it was gone in no time!

  • 1 box
    butter cake mix
  • 1 box
    instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1/2 c
    cooking oil
  • 4
  • 1 c
  • 1 tsp
    rum flavoring

  • 1 stick
  • 1 c
  • 1/3 c
  • 1/2 tsp
    rum flavoring

How to Make Butter Rum Cake


  1. For the cake: Mix all ingredients well and pour into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 45 to 50mins or until done.
  2. For syrup: Put all ingredients except flavoring in small sauce pan. Bring to boil. Cook until butter is just melted and sugar is dissolved. Add flavoring.
  3. While cake is still in pan pour syrup over it. Let set in pan for 30mins.
