This is a recipe that I experimented with and it came out well. A good recipe for those who like cake with nuts.

all purpose flour, sifted
1 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
salt
3 stick
butter, unsalted, room temperature
1 tsp
rum extract
2 tsp
butter flavoring
1 c
buttermilk
1 c
chopped pecans
6 large
eggs
3 c
sugar

How to Make Butter Pecan Pound Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 325*. Grease 12-cup Bundt pan; set aside.
  • 2In medium bowl sift dry ingredients together; set aside.
  • 3In large bowl cream butter and sugar on high speed until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time mixing on low. Add in flavorings & milk, mix until combined.
  • 4Slowly add dry ingredients mixing on med. high until well combined. Lastly, fold in pecans.
  • 5Pour batter into greased pan. Bake for 1 hr. 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
