This is a recipe that I experimented with and it came out well. A good recipe for those who like cake with nuts.

Ingredients

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 stick
    butter, unsalted, room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    rum extract
  • 2 tsp
    butter flavoring
  • 1 c
    buttermilk
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 6 large
    eggs
  • 3 c
    sugar

How to Make Butter Pecan Pound Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 325*. Grease 12-cup Bundt pan; set aside.
  2. In medium bowl sift dry ingredients together; set aside.
  3. In large bowl cream butter and sugar on high speed until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time mixing on low. Add in flavorings & milk, mix until combined.
  4. Slowly add dry ingredients mixing on med. high until well combined. Lastly, fold in pecans.
  5. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake for 1 hr. 10 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
