- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - sugar for garnish
- - almonds, slivered for garnish
How To Make butter almond cake

Step 1Blend sugar with melted butter. Beat in eggs. Add in almond and vanilla extract. Add salt and flour.

Step 2Spread batter in greased 9 inch round shallow pan (like a torte pan). Sprinkle with granulated sugar and sliced almonds. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. Cake will be dense and low.
