Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    almond extract
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • ·
    sugar for garnish
  • ·
    almonds, slivered for garnish

How to Make Butter Almond Cake

Step-by-Step

  1. Blend sugar with melted butter. Beat in eggs. Add in almond and vanilla extract. Add salt and flour.
  2. Spread batter in greased 9 inch round shallow pan (like a torte pan). Sprinkle with granulated sugar and sliced almonds. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes. Cake will be dense and low.
