Ingredients

flour
2 c
sugar
1 stick
margarine
1/2 c
buttermilk
1/2 c
shortening
3 1/2 tsp
cocoa powder
2
eggs
1 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
vanilla
1 c
water

ICING

1 stick
butter, melted
3 1/2 Tbsp
cocoa powder
1 tsp
vanilla
1 lb
confectioners sugar
milk
1/2 c
chopped pecans

How to Make Brunswick Store Fudge Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 1combine flour and sugar in bowl.
  • 2Bring water,margrine,shortening and cocoa to a boil in small pot.
  • 3Add hot mixture to flour and sugar. Mix well.
  • 4Add eggs,buttermilk,baking soda and vanilla. Mix well.Beat til batter is smooth.
  • 5Pour into a 10X13 pan and bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or incert a toothpick and it comes out clean.
  • 6ICING
  • 7combine margrine with cocoa,add sugar,milk( little at a time until frosting is creamy)
  • 8Add vanilla and chopped pecans mix well.
  • 9Smooth over cake while its still warm.
