Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 - squares (1 ounce eac) unsweetenee chocolate
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups mott's apple sauce
- 3 - eggs well beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups ap flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- APPLE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
- 2 packages softened cream cheese
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup powder sugar
- 1/2 cup mott's apple sauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup melted and cooled caramels
How To Make brownie apple sauce cake, /apple cream frosting

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt butter and chocolate, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool.

Step 2Blend sugar, apple sauce, eggs and vanilla into chocolate mixture. In large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. With wooden spoon, stir in chocolate mixture until blended. Stir in walnuts.

Step 3Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 8 inch round cake pans. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. cool in pans 10 minutes.

Step 4In large bowl, beat cream cheese and soften butter until light and fluffy. Blend in powder sugar apple sauce and cool melted carmels and vanilla beat until fuffly. Spread over cool cake.
