How to Make Boston Creme Cake
1Cream together sugar and shortening until light and fluffy.
3Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add alternately with milk and vanilla to creamed mixture.
4Pour into greased and floured 9-inch round cake pan.
5Bake in 350 degree oven 25 minutes.
6Remove from pan and cool on rack.
7When cold, cut cake into two layers.
8Spread bottom layer with pudding.
10Pour chocolate glaze over top allowing some drizzle down sides.
11Chocolate Glaze: Melt 1/4 cup chocolate pieces with one tablespoon butter or margarine.
12Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup unsifted powdered sugar alternately with 1 1/2 tablespoons milk.
