How to Make Boston Cream Cake
- prepare yellow cake mix according to directions. Pour into a greased and floured quarter sheet cake pan. Bake as directed, remove from oven and cool in pan for 15 minutes. remove from pan and slice cake to make 2 layers. (I slice cake into 2 pieces and then take a large bread knife and slice through the layers very carefully). slide your hand between the layers and lift the top off gently laying it to the side cut side up. place bottom layers back into pan or serving dish.
- Prepare vanilla pudding as directed. When thickened pour pudding mix over the bottom layers of cake. top with top layers of cake(the pudding should be in between the cake layers) and then frost top of cake with chocolate frosting mix.Keep stored in refrigerator.
