Ingredients

2 cups sugar
2 cups raisins
2 cups water
1 cup lard
2 tablespoons cloves
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour

How To Make boiled spice cake

Step 1

Boil and cool, add 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt and 3 c. four. Makes 2 good sized cakes. Bake 1 hour at 350.
