  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened
  • 1 large
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • TOPPING

  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    butter, softened

How to Make Blueberry Buckle

Step-by-Step

  1. First make cake batter. Combine sugar, butter and egg. Add milk. Set aside.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Combine wet and dry ingredients just until combined.
  3. Fold in blueberries. Pour into a 9" square pan.
  4. Mix topping ingredients together using pastry cutter until medium crumbs form. Sprinkle over unbaked cake.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
