This is the best pound cake recipe, ever!

margarine, softened (must use margarine)
How To Make
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the margarine and shortening until light and fluffy. Add sugar; beat until smooth. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each egg.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together; add to creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Add flavorings; mix well.
Pour into a heavily greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Place in a cold oven. Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour.
NOTE: The secret for this cake turning out well is to follow all the steps down to the baking. If you do not like vanilla or lemon flavoring, you could use whatever you'd like. I sometimes use almond or coconut.
