How to Make Black Walnut Pound Cake
- 1Beat butter and shortening at medium speed until creamy and soft. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed five to seven minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until yellow disappears.
- 2Combine flour and baking powder. Add to creamed misture, alternately with milk; begin and end with flour mix. Mix until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla and walnuts.
- 3Pour into greased and floured 10inch tube pan.
Bake at 325 for 1 and 1/2 hrs.
