How to Make Black Walnut Pound Cake
1Beat butter and shortening at medium speed until creamy and soft. Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed five to seven minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating until yellow disappears.
2Combine flour and baking powder. Add to creamed misture, alternately with milk; begin and end with flour mix. Mix until blended after each addition. Stir in vanilla and walnuts.
3Pour into greased and floured 10inch tube pan.
Bake at 325 for 1 and 1/2 hrs.
