  • CAKE BATTER
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3/4 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 c
    blueberries, fresh
  • TOPPING
  • 1/3 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 stick
    butter (firm)
  • 1/2 c
    blueberries, fresh

How To Make black hills hideaway blueberry coffee cake

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

    Blend together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

    Add oil, milk, egg and blueberries and blend. Beat thoroughly for 30 seconds and spread in a greased 8 inch square or 9 1/2 inch round pan.

    In a separate small mixing bowl, combine topping ingredients (except for berries) and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter and top with remaining berries. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Raspberries may be substituted.
