I found this on one of my recipe cards and am posting it so that I can find it again.

Ingredients

  • 1 20-oz cans light cherry pie filling
  • 18 1/4 ounces box chocolate cake mix

How To Make black forest spoon dessert

  • Step 1
    DO NOT MAKE CAKE AS DIRECTED ON BOX.
  • Step 2
    Preheat slow cooker on high for 10 minutes
  • Step 3
    Spray the cooker with nonfat cooking spray
  • Step 4
    In the cooker stir together the pie filling and cake mix until there is no dry cake mix visible. The batter will be very thick and lumpy
  • Step 5
    Place a paper towel on top of the slow cooker
  • Step 6
    Cook on high for 2 to 2 1/4 hours or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Step 7
    Serve directly from the cooker. DO NOT INVERT THIS CAKE!
  • Step 8
    Yield: 15 (1/2 cup) servings.
