Created by Jane Swafford for the Curious Cuisiners meeting in May. A delicious cake of cherries and chocolate inspired club members to try this wonderful dump style cake.

Ingredients For black forest cake

  • 2 can
    21 oz, cherry pie filling
  • 1 box
    chocolate cake mix
  • 1/2 c
    butter, sliced into 12 thin slices
  • 1 c
    chocolate chips

How To Make black forest cake

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x13 pan. Spread pie filling on bottom of pan and sprinkle the cake mixture on top.

    Evenly place butter slices on top and sprinkle the chocolate chips over all.

    Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the fruit is bubbling and the cake is set.
