Big Fruit Cake
·1-big box of rasins ,1-big box chopped dates,1/2 big bowl candied cherries, 3/4 big bowl fruit cake mix, 1/2 big bowl pineapples wedges 1-qt. pecanes, 1/2 jar mince meat (big jar) ,
·2 1/2 stick good butter, 1 3/4 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. plain flour , 6 eggs 1/4 tsp salt
How to Make Big Fruit Cake
- cut up fruit and nuts, put rasin's in boiling water and take off stove then let stand for 10 mins.drain good. then cool in refer. add 1/2 cup flour to fruit and nuts this keeps them in one place while cooking grease pan and flour it good
- then cream butter & sugar until fluffy, put in 3 eggs 3/4 c. flour then beat together real good add remaining 3 eggs and rest of flour and beat together real good then add fruit, fold in easy. You want flour to stay on fruit so while cooking the fruit won't sink to bottom of pan.
- Bake at 295 F. for 2 1/2 hrs.
