My mother-in law would make this cake for holidays. It is one of the best cakes I have tasted. Hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients

butter or margarine
1/2 c
veg. shortening
3 c
sugar
5
eggs well beaten
3 c
all purpose flour
1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 c
milk
1 tsp
coconut flavoring
1 tsp
rum extract
1 tsp
butter flavoring
1 tsp
lemon extract
1 tsp
vanilla extract

GLAZE: 1 CUP OF SUGAR 1/2 CUP OF WATER

How to Make Betty's Five Flavor Cake

Step-by-Step

  • 11. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy
  • 2Add beaten eggs (eggs should be lemon colored)
  • 3Combine flour, and baking powder and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.
  • 4Add flavorings
  • 5Spoon mixture in a prpared 10 inch tube pan or 12 cup bundt pan bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hrs. or until cake tests done.
  • 6Add 1/2 of the glaze if desired on warm cake. Cool in pan 10 minutes before turning out. Add remaining glaze.
