My mother-in law would make this cake for holidays. It is one of the best cakes I have tasted. Hope you enjoy it.

Ingredients
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup veg. shortening
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 - eggs well beaten
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon coconut flavoring
- 1 teaspoon rum extract
- 1 teaspoon butter flavoring
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- GLAZE: 1 CUP OF SUGAR 1/2 CUP OF WATER

Step 11. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy

Step 2Add beaten eggs (eggs should be lemon colored)

Step 3Combine flour, and baking powder and add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

Step 4Add flavorings

Step 5Spoon mixture in a prpared 10 inch tube pan or 12 cup bundt pan bake at 325 for 1 1/2 hrs. or until cake tests done.

Step 6Add 1/2 of the glaze if desired on warm cake. Cool in pan 10 minutes before turning out. Add remaining glaze.
