better than sex cake (yellow)

I love this cake because it has coconut and pineapple in it...Two of my favorite fruit..This is my Butter Cake recipe it is tried and true it is so light and fluffy I hope you all enjoy....I have changed the picture to my baby girl Precious Baby since I do not have one...

Ingredients

  • CAKE
  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs, separated
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package box french vanilla pudding (reg)
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup coconut toasted
  • 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces
  • 1 can crushed pineapple (20oz)

How To Make better than sex cake (yellow)

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375*. Spray oblong cake pan with cooking spray and dust with flour... Sift flour, baking powder and salt together, set aside; combine milk and vanilla. Cream butter till light, add sugar gradually, continuing to cream till light and fluffy...Add egg yolks, one at a time, beat well after each addition...add dry ingredients alternating with milk, begin and end with dry and adding about 1/3 of total at a time; beat till smooth...Beat egg whites till soft peaks form, and fold into batter....Spoon into your cake pan...Bake for 25-30 minutes....touch top of cake it should be springy when done... While cake is cooling prepare toppings......follow directions for the toppings... While cake is baking, combine the pineapple and 1 cup of sugar in a saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Remove cake from oven and using a fork, poke holes into cake. Pour pineapple mixture over hot cake and set aside.

    Prepare pudding as to the package. Pour and spread pudding on top of your cake cake and refrigerate until chilled. Whip heavy cream and remainder of your sugar until stiff fold in pecans. Spread whipped cream and pecans on top of cake then sprinkle your toasted coconut on top of the cake.
