This recipe originally came from my grandmother. Needless, to say, this is not the original name. The cake is truly that good!

cake mix, german chocolate
kraft caramels, unwrapped
sweetened condensed milk
semi-sweet chocolate chips
pecans, in pieces
How To Make
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make cake batter as directed on the box.
Pour half the prepared batter in a greased 9x13 pan and bake 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, melt caramels and butter. Once completely melted, stir in milk and stir until smooth.
Remove cake from oven and pour caramel mixture over cake. Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over caramel.
Pour remaining batter over chips, nuts and caramel. Bake an additional 25 minutes or until set. Serve warm with ice cream.
