berry coffee cake
Made this this morning and it was a big hit with the husband and two nieces! Turned out nice and moist; sweet, but with a little tartness from the berries. My family topped the warm pieces off with clumps of butter, which really made this cake "over the top"!

Ingredients
- 2 2/3 cups flour
- 2 cups oats
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cups milk
- 2 - eggs
- 6 tablespoons oil
- 2 cups fresh or frozen berries (can use just blueberries or can use a mix of assorted berries), thawed and drained
- TOPPING
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Step 1Heat oven to 375. Combine flour, oats, 1 cup brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and cloves. In separate bowl, combine milk, eggs and oil. Add wet ingredients to the dry and mix until just combined. Add berries and stir in by hand.

Step 2Generously spray 9x13 baking dish with non-stick spray. Pour batter into pan. Sprinkle with topping. Bake 35-40 minutes.
