Ingredients
- 2 - chocolate, unsweetened squares
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 cups sifted flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup vegtable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs beaten
- 9 ounces strained beets
- - frosting recipe
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 stick butter
How To Make beet nix cake with frosting

Step 1Combine all cake ingredients with the melted and cooled chocolate.Bake in a prepared 13x9 pan or two deep 8 inch pans.Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.

Step 2For frosting combine brown sugar,milk and butter. Boil for four minutes remove from heat and allow to cool.Beat until thick and creamy and spread on cake.
