Ingredients

1 1/2 c
granulated sugar
2 c
sifted flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1 1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 c
vegtable oil
1 tsp
vanilla extract
3 large
eggs beaten
9 oz
strained beets
frosting recipe
1 c
firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c
milk
1 stick
butter

How to Make Beet Nix Cake With Frosting

Step-by-Step

  • 1Combine all cake ingredients with the melted
    and cooled chocolate.Bake in a prepared 13x9 pan or
    two deep 8 inch pans.Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until tooth pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • 2For frosting combine brown sugar,milk and butter.
    Boil for four minutes remove from heat and allow to cool.Beat until thick and creamy and spread on cake.
