Ingredients
- 1 stick butter unsalted, melted
- 1 cup beer (dark perferably)
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups brown sugar, dark
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 cup old cheddar (you want to use a strong cheddar the more exspensive the better!
- BACON FOR FROSTING
- 1 package maple bacon
- CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
- 3 1/2 packages philidelphia cream cheese
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
How To Make beer cheddar cake with bacon cream cheese frosting

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 F, Grate cheddar.butter two 8 inch cake pans,line bottoms with parchment,butter paper and dust pans with flour tap out excess.

Step 2Melt Butter and beer in a saucepan over medium heat.

Step 3Once the butter is melted,remove from heat whisk in cheddar and sugar immediatly.

Step 4In a KithcenAid bowl fitted with a whisk attachment whisk sour cream,eggs,and vanilla on medium/speed just until combined.

Step 5Change whisk attachment for atachment,With the mixer running on medium/high speed add beer mixture, mix just until combined.

Step 6Sift Baking Soda and flour together,add to beer mixture mix until combined.

Step 7Pour into prepared pans (3/4 full), Bake for 20-25 min.until toothpick insertated in center comes out clean.Rotate pans halfway through to insure even baking

Step 8Place your uncooked bacon on a cooling rack placed on a sheet pan and bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes depending on how strong your oven is.bake until crispy but not burned!

Step 9To make the frosting, place 2 1/2 sticks of butter in your kitchen aid fitted with a paddle atachment, Cream buuter on medium high speed.

Step 13Cut both cakes in half, spread cream cheese on each layer neatly,stack the cake,ice the top of the cake and but bacon bits on the sides of the cake, only where the cream cheese is
