- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chopped candied dates
- 2 - eggs
- 2 cups beer

Step 1CREAM BROWN SUGAR AND SHORTENING UNTIL SMOOTH.

Step 3COMBINE DRY INGREDIENTS, ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE ALTERNATING WITH BEER, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION.

Step 5SPOON INTO 10 TUBE PAN (ANGLE FOOD CAKE PAN).
