A box and a can? Well this cake can compete with any homemade cake in my book! Don't knock it until you try it is all I gotta say. Would you believe that some people actually ask for the recipe? It's almost embarassing!

2 cans duncan hines creamy home-style lemon supreme canned frosting

How To Make bea's lemon cake

Step 1

Bake cake according to box directions. Make 3 layers rather than 2 layers. Cool completely.

Step 2

Ice cake using both cans of frosting.
Step 3

This is an execellent cake even if it is from a box and a can!!!
Step 4

IMPORTANT! Be sure to use the Duncan Hines lemon supreme cake mix and the Duncan Hines creamy home-style lemon supreme frosting.
Step 5

OR...make a bundt cake, heat 1/2 can of icing in the microwave and drizzle on top and freeze the other half for later use. Our fellow member, Susan did this and WOW, just look at her cake.
