This cake was for a wedding--the groom wanted to get married on the beach. In Florida; in August. The wedding was indoors with a beach theme--great way to compromise and make everyone comfortable and happy.

11 boxes duncan hines cake mix--various flavors
33 - eggs
11 sticks unsalted butter

How To Make beach wedding cake

Step 1

Six flavors--of cake, lemon, orange, strawberry, pina colada and chocolate/vanilla. Candy sea shells were made with melted chocolate and molds.

Step 2

Publix Butter cream frosting (recipe on this site) and candy decorations. Use cinnamon and Sugar in the Raw for sandy effect.
