So yummy- everyone loves this! I usually double the glaze recipe because it is so yummy! Look for the Heath chocolate-toffee bits in the baking chips section.

Ingredients

  • 1 box - yellow cake mix
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup mashed banana
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 package heath chocolate - toffee bits
  • 1 1/2 cups toasted pecans or walnuts
  • ICING INGREDIENTS
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons milk or cream
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make banana toffee cake

  • Step 1
    In large mixing bowl, beat- on low speed- all cake ingredients except the nuts and Heath bits til moistened- then increase speed to medium. Fold in 1 cup toasted pecans and 1 cup Heath chocolate-toffee bits & pour into greased & floured 9 x 13 in pan..Bake for 32- 35 min @ 350. Cool completely.
  • Step 2
    For icing- in saucepan melt the butter & brown sugar the the milk or cream and simmer one minute. Remove from heat and whisk in 2/3 cup powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth, spread glaze over cake and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of toasted pecans and 1 cup Heath choc-toffee bits.
