This recipe was one of my late mom's favorites. Normally I don't like banana anything but this one is wonderful and even moreso if let set overnight so the flavors can blend more. Everyone always requested the recipe whenever she made it. Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients
- 3 medium bananas
- 3 sticks butter or magarine
- 2 cups graham crackers
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 20 ounces can crushed pineapple
- 8 ounces container whipped topping
- 6 - maraschino cherries with juice, cut in half
- 6 - chopped pecans or walnuts chopped. nuts and cherries are up to individual for garnish and appeal.
How To Make banana split cake

Step 1Mix 1 stick of butter or margarine with 2 cups of graham cracker crumbs. Pat into bottom of 13x8x2 inch pan; set aside.

Step 2Blend in mixer for 15 minutes, no less: 2 sticks butter, powdered sugar and eggs. Drain crushed pineapple; fold into mixture and spread over crust. Slice bananas on top. Cover with whipped topping. Sprinkle with nuts and cherries. Drizzle cherry juice for looks. Refrigerate. Better if made a day ahead.
