I was bored with making banana pudding which I get a lot of requests for, but this recipe cured that boredom!

Ingredients

  • - for cake
  • 1 package 18.25oz plain yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter, melted
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • - for pudding
  • 1 package 5.1 oz vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 stick butter,cut up
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 4 cups sliced banana's( about 3 banana's)
  • - for topping
  • 1 12oz packages whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup vanilla wafer crumbs9 about 12 cookies)

How To Make banana pudding cake

  • Step 1
    Place cake mix,butter milk eggs and vanilla in mixing bowl,blend with electric mixer for 1 min. on low. Increase speed to med. and beat 2 min.batter should be thick and well blended, pour into greased 13 by 9-inch pan, place in oven, bake for 35 min.cake should be GOLDEN brown.
  • Step 2
    while cake is baking; place pudding mixand milk in saucepan, fold in butter and vanilla, cook over low heat til butter melts, remove from heat,let cool, fold in banana slices.
  • Step 3
    Spoon pudding&banana mixture on top of cooled cake, cover the pudding with the whipped topping, sprinkle the vanilla wafers over the top.
