This is very moist and makes a large bundt or two loaf cakes

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups shortening
2 1/2 cups sugar
4 - eggs
6 - mashed bananas
2 teaspoons baking soda
- pinch salt
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon vanilla

How To Make banana pound cake

Step 1

preheat oven to 300 degrees. spray bundt pan with cooking spray, or 2 loaf pans

Step 2

cream shortening and sugar. add eggs one at a time mixing well after each.
Step 3

add bananas, mix well
Step 4

add other ingredients and mix on medium speed of mixer 2 minutes.
Step 5

pour batter into prepared pan (s) filling only half full
Step 6

bake 1 1/2 hours
Step 7

may drizzle with a glaze of your choice which is optional. may add 3/4 cup chopped nuts.
