1 cbutter, softened

2 cmashed ripe bananas (about 4 medium bananas)

2 tspvanilla

3 1/2 call purpose flour

2 tspbaking soda

3/4 tspsalt

1/2 cbuttermilk

1 cchopped pecans
- FROSTING:

1 pkg(8oz) cream cheese softened
-
1/2 cbutter, softened
-
3 1/2 cconfectioners sugar
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-

How To Make banana pecan torte

1In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in bananas and vanilla.

2Combine the dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.

3Stir in pecans.

4Pour into 3 greased and floured 9" round baking pans. Bake at 350* for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

5Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.

6For the frosting, beat cream cheese, butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add vanilla. Spread between layers and top of cake. Sprinkle with pecans
